Planning to visit the Netherlands from Oman? If your nationality requires a Schengen visa, you need to apply for a Netherlands Schengen Tourist Visa. A Schengen visa allows short stays of up to 90 days within a 180-day period. Applications from Oman are submitted through the official VFS Global visa application centre in Muscat. The Netherlands visa application centre in Oman also handles certain Schengen applications for Belgium, Estonia, Luxembourg, Norway, Poland, Sweden and Switzerland.

Processing Time
The current average processing time for a Netherlands Schengen visa is around 25 calendar days. VFS Global also advises that applications may take longer, with a maximum processing period of up to 45 calendar days in applicable cases.
Applicants should apply well in advance of their planned travel date.
